Component: Setup
Level: 1

Title: Changelog will only contain Werks from current major version
Component: Setup
Level: 1
Class: Bug fix
Version: 2.3.0b1
Checkmk has a built in changelog viewer that shows Changelog items called
"Werks". For previous versions of checkmk it showed "Werks" for all versions of
Checkmk.
It turned out that the changelog was not complete: For previous major versions
of Checkmk not all Werks were displayed. As there is little benefit to display
Werks of previous major versions of checkmk we decided to remove those.
The whole list of all Werks is available on our homepage:
https://checkmk.com/werks
When updating to a new major version, the update process will check if there
are unacknowledged werks and tell the user about this, as this list will no
longer be available after the update.

Title: Remove mod_auth_mellon
Component: Site Management
Level: 1
Class: New feature
Version: 2.3.0b1
With Checkmk 2.2, announced by Werk #14977, the usage of mod_auth_mellon was deprecated. This release now removes mod_auth_mellon.
If you still have mod_auth_mellon in your apache config, the apache service will not be able to start.
Errors are logged to var/lib/apache2/error_log.
If you want to continue to use SAML you can do it in the Enterprise Edition via Setup -> Users -> SAML connections.

Title: Fix default selection of "Tree of folders" snapin
Component: Multisite
Level: 1
Class: Bug fix
Version: 2.3.0b1
If you added the snapin "Tree of folders" to the sidebar, only the topic
dropdown with the default "Overview" was shown. The second dropdown of the view
choices was missing.
A workaround was, to change the dropdown to another topic as "Overview". The
second dropdown appeared and on change back to "Overview", you could choose a
view of this topic.
Note: This only occurs on the first use of the snapin. If you have already
selected something, the dropdown values are read from user files.

Title: Predictive Levels: Suppress levels if standard deviation is undefined
Component: Checks & agents
Level: 2
Class: Bug fix
Version: 2.3.0b1
This change affects users of the option In relation to standard deviation from
Predictive Levels.
Predictive Levels are computed by considering every data point matching the configured
reference period. If there is only a single data point available, the standard deviation is
undefined. Previously, since the standard deviation was unavailable, Checkmk would use the absolute
value of the reference value. In particular, if the reference value was 0, then this would result in
a CRIT.
With this Werk, no levels are applied, if the standard deviation is undefined.
