The previous version used a fixed identifier and a ever changing sequence ID. We hope that the new approach is more suitable for firewalls.

When the object is out of its check period then we take the beginning of that inactive phase as a reference - not the current time. The effect is that the staleness value is frozen at the end of the check period. That way checks that are out of their period are not any longer shown as stale - unless they already have been stale when the inactive phase started. Note: This only works when using CMC. The Nagios core has no information about previous timeperiod transistions so this cannot be implemented there.

ID: 8102 Title: The Micro Core now safely detects corrupted state files Component: cmc Level: 1 Class: Bug fix Version: 1.2.6b1 If due to a disk-full situation or other reasons the file <tt>var/check_mk/core/state</tt> was empty, corrupted or incomplete the CMC would crash with a segmentation fault in many cases. This has been fixed by savely checking the already existing end-of-file magic marker <i>before</i> processing the file.
