Dear users of Check_MK,
the Check_MK Exchange <http://exchange.check-mk.org>, which is a
platform for Check_MK users for sharing Check_MK extension with the
community, has just been migrated to a new platform.
The new platform is fully integrated into our website for a more
consistent user experience. It makes sharing of extensions a lot easier.
You don't need to create a user account and log into it to upload your
extensions anymore. You can simply browse to the upload form, select the
MKP package you like to share from your computer and upload it. The
upload will then be reviewed by us and published once it is done.
We migrated all existing extensions from the old platform to the new one
to make it as easy as possible for all users.
Hope you like it!
If you experience any kind of problems, let us know by sending a mail to
<feedback(a)check-mk.org>.
Best regards
Lars

Dear friends of Check_MK,
the new stable release 1.2.6 of Check_MK is ready for download.
We are proud to finally announce the new stable version 1.2.6 of Check_MK. With
this release we finalize the development of over one year which has improved
Check_MK in many different ways.
Key features:
===
* Dashboard designer
You can now create and manage your dashboards via the Web GUI.
* Agent Bakery (subscription only)
Use WATO to create custom RPM, DEB, MSI or tar packages for your
monitored system. With the agent bakery you can create customized
packages for each of your monitored host including all the agent
plugins and configuration you like to install on the monitored
host. This is totally web based.
* Reporting (subscription only)
You can now create highly customized PDF reports to present your
monitoring data to others by either generating those reports
automatically on a regular base or just in the moment you need
them.
These reports may contain all kind of information like the
contents of views, graphs, availablity or BI aggregations.
* #0711 Rule based notifications
The rule based notifications introduce a totally new approach
of notifications configuration, which is highly configurable and
way more flexible than the existing ones. The whole configuration
is independent of the monitoring core, which means you can change
your notification configuration without having to reload the core.
* #1413 Hardware-/Software-Inventory
The new Check_MK hardware- and software-inventory gives you
a view on the hardware built into and software installed
on your monitored systems. It assists keeping an eye on changed
hardware or software, for example new installed, updated or
uninstalled software is detected and visualized.
